There are so many Bible study resources available it's hard to keep track of them.
My goal is to provide you with the essentials to make your Bible study easy to do and help you grow. These days everyone is so busy that it's hard to devote time to prayer and Bible study.
Slow down, take your time, and read your Bible and pray. In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus says when we put God first, everything else we need will be added.
YouVersion - I made sure I took away all my excuses for not reading my Bible every day. Although I tried other Bible apps for my phone, this one is my favorite. You can read the Bible in different translations, but it also offers plenty of resources from churches and other organizations to help you learn and understand the Bible. There are devotionals on every topic you can imagine.
The Bible Project—the reason I recommend this site is they use video to explain the Bible in a way that is easy to understand. There are plenty of free tools to help you as well. These include guides, classes, a podcast, and reading plans.
Faith of Doss - These Bible study guides are based on the life of Medal of Honor recipient Desmond Doss. Doss was the soldier featured in the movie Hacksaw Ridge. There are other study guides and courses on this site as well.
Faithful Under Fire - This is a 15-page Bible study based on the life of Desmond Doss. You can download it for free. Just right-click.
Military Bible Challenge - (app) I really enjoyed doing this challenge. It lasts 75 days, and you read through different parts of the Bible. If you're new to the Bible, I would suggest doing this after you have read through the Bible so it makes sense. You'll also have access to God Understands, Hero Squad, Never Alone, Operation Recon, and The Warfighter's Study Bible. If you are new to the Bible, Operation Recon is a great place to start. These are either apps for your phone or online studies.
